This journal serves as a premier platform for researchers, judges, legal practitioners, and academics to share research and scholarly discussions in the field of Syariah judiciary and legal studies. It focuses on the critical analysis of judicial decisions, trial procedures, and legal aspects relevant to the Syariah judiciary system.

Published periodically, AL-TAQRIR accepts articles that explore various aspects of Syariah law, including case analysis, legal reforms, and judicial procedures. The journal welcomes research employing diverse methodologies and perspectives that contribute to the global discourse on Syariah legal studies. Submissions are accepted in English, Malay, or Arabic, provided they are original contributions that have not been previously published or considered by other publishers.

Each manuscript undergoes a double-blind peer-review process to determine its suitability for publication based solely on the recommendations of expert reviewers. Authors are advised to carefully read and adhere to the journal’s manuscript preparation guidelines. Submissions that do not comply with these guidelines or are incorrectly formatted will be rejected by the editorial team before entering the review process. Only manuscripts that meet the specified formatting requirements will be considered for publication.

The Editorial Board of AL-TAQRIR: Jurnal Perundangan Syariah Negeri Sembilan is proud to announce the release of our inaugural issue, Volume 1, Number 1 (2025). This milestone marks the official launch of a premier academic platform, born from a strategic collaboration between the Syariah Judiciary Department of Negeri Sembilan (JKSNS) and the Faculty of Syariah and Law, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). As a specialized journal, this first issue features a curated collection of Grounds of Judgment from the Syariah Court of Appeal, Syariah High Court, and Syariah Lower Courts, alongside academic articles. By providing critical analysis of judicial decisions and trial procedures, AL-TAQRIR serves as an essential resource for judges, legal practitioners, and scholars to advance the discourse within the Syariah judiciary system. Each contribution in this issue reflects our commitment to the doctrine of thubut (certainty) and ‘adl (justice), bridging the gap between judicial practice and academic research. We invite the global legal community to explore this inaugural edition as we set the stage for innovative research and legal reform in Syariah law.
